When I started the NCA process, I looked for study materials that would help me pass efficiently. What I found instead were 400-page textbooks written for Canadian law students — comprehensive, but not designed for someone who already had a law degree and needed to learn Canadian-specific content for an exam. The materials were too long, too generic, and had no answer templates or exam-focused structure.

I decided to take a different approach to my own preparation. Instead of reading entire textbooks, I distilled each subject down to its exam-testable core — the rules, frameworks, and landmark cases that actually appear on NCA exams. I created my own condensed notes with structured answer templates for every question type. The result: I cleared 4 of 5 mandatory subjects in under 3 months.

After passing, I realised that every internationally trained lawyer going through the NCA process faces the same problem — too much material, not enough exam focus. The NCA Hub exists to solve that.
